Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I've been busy lately but can now share some new 1/6th scale projects with you. The latest project is a character study of an Imperial Roman Signifier, on campaign somewhere in Northern Europe. The figure is part kitbashed and part scratchbuilt. I scratchbuilt the bearskin using faux-fur and apoxy putty sculpting - bear head and claws. Mohair was applied and glued to the painted bear head sculpt before being trimmed. The faux fur was also painted with various acrylic paints and then trimmed. The boots and personal pouch were sculpted from apoxy putty, and painted with Vallejo acrylic paint. More details and WIP photos can be found in my web blog.

So yes, I have a web blog again and I'm pretty stoked about it, I find that it's a pretty nice dispository of all my past and present projects. You are most welcome to visit, my friends, I look forward to seeing you there. Here's the link:

Wonderful to see efforts you’ve gone to make these 1/6 figures into realistic looking historical figures. Admire work you did on this project to create the bear skin.
Thanks for sharing, enjoying your other projects now on your site.

Oh thanks so much, everyone. The creation of the bearskin was a challenge which I have to say I enjoyed tremendously.

Please enjoy my other projects.

cheers, Ran

Had you not said it was a model, I would honestly have said it was a photograph of someone in a re-enactment group. The face is nothing short of remarkable and totally lifelike.

That is a deeply impressive talent you have there Ran.

Thanks so much, Nigel. Will be infusing storytelling into my future dioramas. Exciting times ahead. See you around.
