Here is my latest commission work which I have entitled "In The News". It's based off of a famous picture of an 82nd Airborne trooper reading the newspaper on a window sill of a damaged building shortly after the "D Day" drops into France. He is a 70MM offering from Historic Art Miniatures and is all around a fantastic kit. I've added the damaged curtain section as well as the damaged pane of glass the window molding and the sign. He is painted as always in Vallejo Acrylics and was really an enjoyable project for me.

Very well done
I am thinking of getting this figure, does it go together well?

Love it! You did a fantastic painting work on this popular model. Painting on face and uniform is really awesome.

Excellent painting on the M-42 uniform and the news paper looks really good the way you painted it. What Vallejos did you mix for the M-42s?

WOW that's a great piece of work. I'm sure that your customer will be 100% satisfied.

Not my period but a superb piece of work, a real snapshot of history in miniature beautifully painted. It seems to me that manufacturers put a lot more effort into the scenic backgrounds for 20th Century figures than they do for earlier pieces, I suppose it is due to better photographic documentation, rather than relying on more glorified artistic renderings from earlier centuries.

Excellent !!. I have this one in my workbench. Perhaps in a next future I will on it!. Thanks for your contribution!!

I really like this piece! fantastic story out of such a small vignette! A lot of good thought is very apparent :)

Excellent painting Dan, you've really brought this little scene to life. The only thing that bothers me is the broken pane of glass hanging precariously above the soldier. If it was me, I'm not sure I'd be so relaxed!!
