Completed Inuit woman and baby

Along with the previous sculpt the buffalo soldier this next bust has been suggested by Jose at minuteman models. It's an Inuit woman and baby.
I normally try to get as much of a facial likeness as possible but in this case whilst pushing around the putty I decided to stop at this , IMHO I think she looks more Native American Indian than the picture.

The NW coast Native Americans are vastly under represented in the figure realm IMO. I'm still waiting on a killer bust with a raven mask or the like! Good on ya Ken!

This is really looking good.
As i hear on History Channel the other day that menkind was almost gone trough the eruption of the Trova.
Only 3000 people should survived the vulcanic winter. (so they say)
So we are all from the same DNA. So the inuit can look identicall to the Native American. Both tribes where not common involved with other white tribes.

I am no expert on the facial features of a Native American Indian (NAI) person. Sometimes I get the feeling that American TV and movies cast actors irresponsibly and incorrectly, which adds to the confusion...

I do think the sculpt here is closer in general impression to the intended subject. On the other hand, it does seem ok to identify the lady in the picture as NAI too...

An Oriental with minority blood myself, I spend considerable time and effort studying the different facial features of populations within Asia. The easiest thing is to tell a Chinese from a Japanese and from a Korean. Just as easily, one can distinguish a Northern Chinese from a Southern Chinese.

Two Oriental girls, both 1/8 German, can look very, very different, as one is Japanese and the other Cantonese. They are both pretty, but the camera is more kind to one than the other.

This is a rocket science...

Just be sure to leave the cigarette out when it comes to the baby Ken, they don't all smoke.

Inuit are considered the last group to cross the Bering Strait... why else why live in a frozen wasteland?
The theory is the epicanthic fold is more prominent in Inuit and even Siberians to some extent, because of the low angle of the sun in those latitudes; therefore, the Inuit would and could look more Asiatic than say , a Huron or a Lenni Lenape.
The face is fine, and looks great for a Native North American...of almost any tribe.
I have done Inuit babies and I will tell you from experience: don't do to much fiddling around with features..it makes them look older. The least amount of features you can get away with, the better off you are, Ken. Just a suggestion.
