Hi all,

I would like to present a bust that I’m currently working on. There is a lot of to do:
1) Tactical vest with plenty of stuff attached to it
2) rpg-7 to scratch build
3) camel back
4) second hand
5) and more... ;)

What do you think about it?

Piotr - Nice one! ;) I like the naive and positive openness of that face. He looks like a simple farm boy. That face wouldn't look out of place in Nebraska. That sounds strange, but since the US is peopled with immigrants from all over, including Poland, maybe not so goofy. I imagine him painted with freckles that are just visible beneath the sun tan. Would like to see a close-up of just the face if possible.

All the best,
Dan

Hi,

this bust will present one of the Polish troopers who are now there in Iraq (there is more than 1400 people now, previously in 2003 was even more at about 3000) - so he will have Polish uniforms and Polish stuff on it (he, he and russian rpg in his hand ;)).

Thank you very much for your kind comment, please find attached close-up of his face. One remark - that are old photos from 'stage one' - now the face is a little bit changed (I added wrinkles, eyebrows, etc.).

Hello,
thank you for your kind comments. I'm really happy that you like the face's sculpt - to be honest I like sculpting faces the most - rest of the bust (e.g body, uniform, hands) is just a kind of bust's pedestal ;).

Now I'm fighting with all the straps, belts etc.

All comments are welcome!

Piotr, I know what you mean, faces are my favorite too. It's nice to see a Polish subject.~Gary

Gary -> I really admire your faces sculpt and your beautiful way how you sculpt folds

Looks great!!!

Zapowiada sie bardzo ciekawie. Nareszcie polski akcent z tej operacji! Z niecierpliwoscia czekam na finisz.
Tylko nie jestem przekonany do tego RPG...

Pozdrawiam
Artur

Nice Work Piotr!

I especially like the way you have portrayed the straps and how you modeled the texture. Excellent work so far! Looking forward to the next step.

Thank you guys for your kind comments!!! I really apprieciate that! There is still a lot things to do: ten more buckles on an additional ammo-pockets, camelbag, rpg - ahh - but I going to have one week off next week so propably I will do a lot during that period.

Regards,
Piotr

Great stuff. I'd give him a nice crew cut haircut. Most of our boys wear it a little shorter, but it may be different in Poland.

MUD: You're completely right - the same goes with our soldiers - it's more convenient to have shorter hairs especially in hot climates - but... I have no idea how to sculpt short hairs... :|

Ok, here it goes small update:
