is gw black primer paint any good?

Hi im going to prime some alpine 1/35 figures with gw black primer.
But i was wondering if anyone else uses this?

I used it quite a bit years ago when I painted a lot of GW orcs and it worked quite well. I don't know if the formula's been changed since then though...

Hi Tom, I personally find GW good but prefer the 'Skull' white.

One word of caution. Dont apply the GW Primer to heavily as it gets kind of a satin finnish. Matt finnish is better for the paint to stick to.

Despite how it's used, it's not actually primer.

There are cheaper things on the market (much cheaper if you shop around) that will do the job better.
