Hi all,

Just wrapped up this 54mm piece from Andrea. The sculpting on this piece just blows me away, it's some of the best I've seen. That being said, this was probably the most challenging kit I've ever worked on in terms of assembly (and I've done several mounted kits!) Every single piece of that chair, all the little spindles, etc, was a separate piece. And getting everything to line up, get the right spacing between the figures, make it look like the doc's actually holding the stethoscope to the doll, etc, etc, was TOUGH! I chose gray rather than black for the doc's suit, and brown leather rather than black leather for the girl's jacket. Other than that, I tried to stay true to the original Rockwell. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. More importantly though, this one is for my little girl, and so holds special significance to me. Acrylics throughout, except for the use of some oils on the wood floor. Thanks as always for looking!

Jason

I always liked the look of this figure and this one's done beautifully (The chair was worth the effort) ;)

Occasionally a figure a figure pops up on PF that is a real inspiration . . . well done Jason

Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
So she called for the doctor to come quick, quick, quick.
The doctor came with his bag and his hat
And he knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
And he said “Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!”
He wrote on a paper for some pills, pills, pills
“I’ll be back in the morning with my bill, bill, bill.”

:D

Excellent work. I know what you mean when you say about each little piece being seperate and needs lining up. I haven't yet painted this piece but I have done Andreas Gepetto, Santa Claus and the elves, and the old cowboy remembering his youth with the record player. All of those have similar issues and are three of the hardest kits I've ever put together. Deep respect to you for doing a grand job of this one.
