Hello.
Here I'd like to present the finished 90 mm White Models figure - XIX c islamic warrior.
You could check WIP here
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/white-models-islamic-warrior-90-mm.45510/.
I've always liked this sculpture very much. Model is great, but the theme demands many ornaments etc. In other words - lots of work. So, what you can see on the picture, is many hours spent :)
Originally model has two additional fringes (or what it is) on the helmet, but I decided not to mount it. I glued them for a try, and the model didn't look good - it apeared a bit like horns on the helmet.
So, I decided - no horns. I like it as it is, and additionally, it allowed me to finish the work a bit earlier.
Base was intended to look as a marble floor.
One cold spent much more time, adding ornaments, but I hope you like the result.
Simon

It turned out brilliantly Simon. Very neat painting of all the details. It really adds to the overall result. Eyes are very nice as well.

Very elegant painting there, especially on the mail , not easy to pull off. Always thought that White Models had very stylish sculpts of interesting subjects and but sometimes mixed casting quality on the early production figs. FWIW the newer casts are much better.

I completely agree. It's good to know, that newer cast are good quality. The miniature I presented in this thread was a really poor cast - harsh seamlines (what is not a crucial disadvantage), but even worse, the head seems to be a bit to flat.
I want to paint some more White Models miniatures, so this improvment is good news.
Thanks for the comment.
