My advice .........Have an idea when your package is coming and then risk life and limb to beat her to the mailbox. And then ask yourself,.."Is it worth it"?

Wayne:)

Is everyone like this? I have the opposite problem. I've got such a massive grey army I feel self-guilty if I consider buying more. Solution? I ask the wife - she usually talks me into buying and the guilt goes away.

Just remember, when she wants a new car or wants to move to a nicer house or whatever your creative imagination can imagine there may be a price to pay.

Hi Wayne
That's O.K. I benefit from both. Moved house only 2 years back and made sure I got a room to convert for modelling, although I've not got it done yet, due to Covid - hence the hiatus in modelling and the ever growing army that never gets painted.
In my time I've probably spent as much on my various obsessions as a car would cost anyway. Life is sweet, even if somewhat cluttered!

I got my own flat two years ago (long story, I bought and lost/sold two houses, which I never got to get my space in, and lived in a procession of boats, trucks, vans, and my partners's flat for years..), and the second bed room was immediately designated as the model room. It was the first room to be sorted out, filled with work desks and cabinets. I'm still debatting wether to move the model room into the bigger bed room, as the bed room is only for sleeping in...

am i the only one with a wife saying : you order this one right now ! .... ?

Please send wife to teach mine .....tried sneaking something in the other day ......not a chance ...SWMBO radar was on full alert.....even put the wrapping at bottom of bin ....never helped ....

Oh well hopefully the injurys should heal ......LOL

See my post above. My wife even comes to shows and finds more things for me to buy . She loves rummaging around in boxes under the tables, and has found me books and figs I would have otherwise missed.
Maybe it's just a matter of "ejicating 'em" early? Or are we just of the blessed few?
