Ivan the Terrible, Bust

Greetings to all!
I started to paint a bust of Ivan the Terrible. This bust was sculpted by me about a year ago.
This is so-called ''underpainting''... I will draw and draw it another year, probably. I used tempera and acrylic paints. Bust's size is 250 mm I think .

No, his eyes are painted proportionally. The problem is most likely in the sculpture - they were originally too big.

I love the sculpture. Perhaps the iris of the right eye (from viewer's perspective) is smaller and too far right compared to the left. Only an issue when seen from the front as the balance appears to be off.

Don't quit on it....please.
