How are you doing your photography?
I've been having trouble getting the close focus that you seem to have mastered.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks Chris,as for the eyes,I've painted them up into the corners as per the film photo,it may be the angle of the head that's throwing it out a little,I wouldn't be able to paint them any idea Chris, glad you like it though mateHi Brian,
He's really coming to life mate, loving the look of blood sweat and tears. I just have one other thing I want mention as a constructive criticism and it's purely my own observation. The photo that you posted earlier of Hooky shows his eyes are looking up in a very cheaky way, almost out of the corner if you know what I mean. This compliments the mouth pouting to me, where as his eyes at the moment seem to be looking down almost in a day dreaming state. I'm sorry to be annoying and I know you always put alot of time and effort into your work, like I said Brian only my opinion, you are the artist and you have the artistic licence and please don't any offence to my critiques.
Kind Regards
Chris.

Many thanks Ian for your kind words"The Thin Red Line" by the Fosten brothers shows the '24' on the lapels as brass. I'm currently painting the Thunderbirds bust of the 24th, and this shows the numbers as white. Can someone give me a definitive answer? I'm sorry to have hijacked Smudgers thread, but it might allay any doubt [in my mind, at least!]?
Love the bust by the way, its rather impressive!
