A very pleasant to work figurine from the "History of Poland" series. Cast together with the pedestal.
Painted with VGC, Citadel and Pactra acrylics. I just added the background from scratch.

A well deserved tribute. I have just watched the Battle for Warsaw - Stones for the rampart in which Tomasz Zietek played Rudy.

"Stones for the Rampart" was my school reading... I personally prefer the film version from 1977, unfortunately I don't know if there is a version with English subtitles available anywhere.
The actor playing Zośka is even physically similar to him.

And the amazing Karl Sturm as Oberscharfuhrer Schultz - a German actor who spoke Polish perfectly.

Thank you for the heads up on the other film from 1977, I will see if I can track a copy down with subtitles for my collection.
I have a few Polish war films including the Wadja triliogy, any other recommendations most welcome.

Firstly thanks for the WIP , great to follow and the figure itself is a little gem , and a fine tribute to a brave young man and all the Polish Resistance

The painting of the jumper pattern works well and the background really brings it out
