Steve Ski
A Fixture
From what I’m seeing Jeff did a pretty dang fine job working that torso into a realistic tweak of action. Rotating it at different angles tells me he’s nailed it, not something easy to do. This figure would work perfectly with his prior sculpt, JS120098WWII US Airborne w/Thompson Submachine Gun. A few more GI’s would make for a great vignette and a very convincing heavy action scenario.
Having worked some of Jeff’s figures before I immediately scrutinize what I see paying close attention to what might need fine tuning or adjustments and just how much work will be involved in bringing it up to speed before a brush ever gets wet. This one I’m liking, but knowing how the molding process is done I would expect the putty work to be more than average compared to other sculptors. The hands seem to most often be an issue. Not sure why, but they are, and this one being no exception, as well as a few rough sculpted areas, etc.
If you already know this up front and this figure will work into your possible future projects, Ruck On! The action alone on this particular figure would make the extra work almost mute, IMHO.
Great work on this one, Jeff!
