Joyeux Noel, I thought, Gary's lost the plot and thinks it's Christmas and then I read the ps and I thought Christmas truce 1914, clicked the link and guess what?
You could have this ready for Christmas Dan.

Looks like a good story is going to be wasted with a love interest :)
Paul, It kinda looks that way. When are these "Hollywierd" peabrains going to realize a like this does not always have to have a love interest in it for it to succede? I know it's wishful thinking but c'mon.~Gary

As a matter of fact, there WAS actually a love interest.

Nikolaus Sprink and his Danish wife Anna Sorensen were real-life characters. Both were big opera stars in their respective country before the war. It was because of their star status that Anna Sorensen was allowed to organize a Christmas concert close to the Western front.

The error here is not in the facts. It's in the casting. Diana Kruger, a model turned actress (she was Helen of Troy in a recent movie) is too much 'Hollywood' to be credible.

Also the directing is tedious and superficial. Nowhere near the emotional and beautifully filmed A Very Long Engagement.
