Hey guys it's been a busy month at work, finally finished the horse except for the animal skin under the saddle and a few touch ups here and there.

Looks great, Roc! Sorry for not following this thread but do you undercoat w/ acrylics? Your oil finish looks very rich in tone. Well done!

Jason

Hello Jason, thanks for the kind words, glad you like the way it turned out.
I do undercoat in acrylics, I use Delta Creamcoat acrylics, .89 cents for 2 oz.. ;)

Cheers
Roc. :)

Looks very good, I like the natural shine of mane and tail, what did you used to get that? Varnish or it´s just the oils shine? Nice done Rocco,

Anastasios.

Hi Roc

Now thats looking great, well worth the time and effort of getting things right, great shading on the horses muscular make up...

Dave

Hi Rocco
Looking good

I would really think about inserting a thin nail or a metal spike into one of the horses legs to attach it to the base to give it strength as He stands on only 2 out of the 4 feet and mine leaned over quite a bit after a while despite having a longer nail inserted into one of the legs and it was quite tricky to repair
Just a thought, it will be easier now than later

Apart from that it is looking very good

That takes care of the easy bit! Now for the figure...............

Cheers

John

Anastasios., thanks for the kind words.
To achieve the sheen on the mane and tail, I adde a few drops of Llinseed oil to the mixture.

Cheers
Roc :)

Ciao Rocco,
