A Fixture
hi!
this is my latest work which i have just finished.
I could not resist painting this superb fig, which has been released a few years back.
Not very original, but so pleasant to paint.
The Bashi were Ottoman Guards, and the Kavas was responsable for about a hundred guardmen.
They were usually very richly dressed, gold and red being the traditionnal colours.
sculpture by M.Bruno for Pégaso
I added a few scratched made parts in order to make it look a little bit original, and to fill in emty spaces.
The main difficulty concerns the tissu pattern, which must remain barely visible at that scale.
Oil painted
the Balkan inspired riffle (Dzeferdar) is a very weak part, as it broke off a couple of times, and must be handled very carefully.
Altogether, a very nice fig highly recommended even though it has been seen around before !!!
Hope you like it
Thanks for watching
