Hello,

I just wanted to share with you my method to keep the mixtures usable during several days. I put the palette inside an airtight plastic box. Below the palette I place a dishcloth soaked in water. Put the box well closed inside the fridge. You can keep the mixtures usable at least for 3-4 days.

I know that with the wet palette you can also achieve the same, but I'm not used to work with it so I prefer my method.

Cheers!

Hi there ,

Interesting way of using it , I use a WP ( homemade version.... like this but no palette ) .

I actually prefer the homemade one to my previously usual commercial item ...seems to work better !

I also add a tiny bit of W&N blending medium ( a retarder) to my distilled water mix ......gives me a longer working time

Thanks for sharing

Yes, I use this method long time ago with good results. And I add a few drops of glazes medium of Vallejo to distilled water and paint.

Cheers guys
Never thought of adding medium to the water; must try that out. . . .

I'll also get hold of the plastic lunch container because I prefer the 'welled' pallet too (Buy mine from The Range for a £1 a piece when I pass there)
