Managed to make some good progress on this project with some days off work, about 80% of the bust is complete with some work on the bread bag, water bottle and horn to complete.
The belt needs some more attension as do the cuffs and rank chevrons.
Weathering of the piece will be done on completion of the whole piece.
The baker rifle has been under coated with some acrylic dark colours,I want to portray this baker rifle as really dark in colour, rifle fittings still need to be painted yet as well,I'm finally beginning to see the finish post as this has been on my bench for quite a while.
I did some test fitting onto the backdrop to get a feel for the completed piece,I'm very happy with the progress over the last 2 days.

Brian, Great work! Your KGL bust is turning out nicely. Love the way you staged it! You have taken painting a bust to the next level!(y)

As always mate your work on this is superb. You have a very distinct style of your own, the ability to use commercial offerings and a level of creativity to convert them to something unique is a rare talent, coupled to a painting style that places them at the scene in the battle with the grime and dirt.

Looking forward to catching up with you and seeing this at Figure World.

That is looking fantastic Brian, love the idea of the brick house, it's all coming together.
You must have a large display cabinet.
