Hi Robert,
I have the Zulu warrior and it is an impressive figure, beautifully sculpted and posed. It has some flash and mould lines here and there, but these are easily cleaned. Taking resin plugs away from the spear and rifle can be tricky, as these parts are thin and long and can break if you are not careful.

There is, IMHO, one accuracy issue: He is holding a Martini-Henry breech-loader rifle. Why is he carrying a powder horn?. A British cartridge box would suit him better, I think.

Rob,

A friend built/painted the Zulu, and I recall him saying that the assembly was rough. That said, it's a striking figure.

I built the Zulu and found clening up a chore otherwise I really enjoyed painting him. Re the powder horn - maybe he's just picked up the Martini Henry?

It really is a great figure. Should you need some inspiration, here's Bob Sarnowski's rendition.

Hi Robert, after having the chance to see both of these up close at Euro lending a hand to Paul Quek of Miniature Alliance I'd definitely go with the Zulu in terms of figure quality, it's a much better piece all round.
