'fraid so the stats for the area are horrendous, until recently it had Europes highest rate of murder per head of pop and was well ahead of many of Americas big cities. .......... very little benefit wil accrue from the Commonwealth Games for the people living in genuine poverty in the East End.
The legacy will be facilities that they can't afford and that will be patronised by people travelling in.
Mind you there will be a decent road infrastructure, really useful for a community with one of the lowest level of car ownership in the developed world ..... it does mean though that the incomers using the facilities can effect a quick getaway.
Glasgow has tried to change its image, and to a great extent suceeded but investment in the games is short term benefits for people outwith the east end communities.
Reminds me of the Glasgow East End Renewal Initiative where 10's of millions of pounds were pumped in to create long term jobs. University of Strathclyde identified that 11 jobs had been created for locals all of who immediately moved out of the area ......

Some nice wood you're picking up, definitely need to look at producing some smaller plinths and maximise the number and profit you can make from each plank.
I mean lets be honest how many fingers do you really need? ...... you can always dump the Fender and take up the ultra fashionable Ukelele.
