Hi. Now working on an old Tartar miniatures bust of a Landskneht.
This is how I tried to paint steel:
1- Primed figure
2- Base: Black Metal
3,4 - Reflections painted with inks
5,6 - Highlights with Silver paint

Nice choice of bust , good to see how you approach the metallic, despite pics being a little dark , looks to be working well .....

Will you add any hint of rust around the studs perhaps ?

Skin: Colours - Perch Skin (kimera), Cherry wood (kimera), Light blue (WarFront), Black Red (Vallejo)
1 - first sketch: base-PS+CW+LB. Lights-Base+PS. Shadows - BR
2 - 2nd lights - PS
3 - Red and purple tones
4,5 - Extra lights (PS + white) and shadows (BR)

Dare I ask .....is that some Blu Tac on top of helmet ?

Hi Nap.
The answer to both your questions is yes. I painted some redish tones and pink around the eyes. The Blu Tac is where I want to glue the large hat (see 1st picture)
