First of all apologies for not posting for such a long time. My first post was back in Feb. and I'm afraid I lapsed, work etc.. I logged on today and there was 1600 plus posts since I was last here  .
Hopefully I am now in a position to take a more active role.
Here's some of what I've been up to.

Cheers,

Roger.

Thanks Johan, yes it's a Fusilier figure. most of the figures I've been painting recently have been by the fusilier. Very addictive.
Here's another view of the same figure.

Hi Roger, really nice figure and i know what you mean about the addiction of Fusilier,i got their French Foreign Legion?western front figure and love the detail it has, just looking for reference before tackling it!

Its good to see you back Roger. I like figure you have posted but it is a little to dark to critique. Hope to see more of your work.

Jaime, all my figures are painted in acrylics. I started using Games Workshop paints but I am now replacing them slowly with Andrea ones. I find the finish is more what I would like to achieve with Great War figures.
Yes Guy the pic is a little dark. sadly I don't have a digital camera. (All my hard earned cash is spent on Miniatures and books :)
The only way I can reproduce them to show here is by laying them on the scanner ;)
Any contructive criticism or hints however will be greatly appreciated.

Roger.

Roger, really nice work. the fusilier figures are really nice, as there a story going round that they would no longer be trading?. hopefully this is wrong.

As a sort of encouragement about digital, you do save on film and processing costs. Well it is the excuse I used for myself  You also get the instant gratification of seeing the picture. a great aid for painting as when you magnify it the mistakes look all too clear.

Ditto on Guys comments about the darkness of the pictures.

OK Roger. I allways paint in acrylics, but I use Vallejo Model Color (better than Andrea in my opinion)

Cheers
JAime Gil

I hope there is no truth in that rumour.
Since starting painting Steve Warrilow's figures the only other figures I've painted are 54mm Hecker & Goros and Andrea Great War subjects.

Roger.
