Hi all

This is my latest addition to my range of bases.

It is Oak with a semi sheen of black ,working size is 50x50mm on top height including
plinth is 75mm but as usual this can be adjusted to specific needs .

Seems a shame to do this to Oak but being such a dense grain it gives a superb finish
Cost is £8. 00

These look brilliant Ron, if they are as good as the last set you produced they will sell easily.
Great to see you produce a new range, simply outstanding.

I have one of Ron's bases and they are sharp edged, with a great nice finish.
Will have one of his base's again within a few months.
I can only say: High Recommended.

Ron these look nice, I prefer black bases these days ... Where are you based and what is postage like to/within the UK ? Do you turn bases also ? + is the black finish a stain or an acrylic/lacquer spray ?

Many thanks

Carlos

Certainly is Einion !

But painting black you can go for cheaper wood if you can find some nice tight grained timber ... which normally means a hardwood of some sort which can get pricey ?!

I am in bonny Scotland:eek:or rainy Scotland . So postage to your area is a couple of quid for about three bases that size ,a single would be cheaper.
the finish is Spray on Oak wood which has a very tight grain and finished down to 1200 grade Wet and dry .

Einion Mentioned Ebony , well I can get the stuff albeit in limited sizes but it is pricey .
I don't do turning at the moment but it will happen.
