Hello, all -

I would like to share my latest work. This is a group of 1" scale (5.8" or 148mm tall) figures. They are mid-20th century Italian workers, and a dog. They are done in Polymer clay, and painted with acrylics. I am showing them around to see if there is any commercial interest in the "Dollhouse" market. Critiques welcome.

Hi Carlo,

Glad to see you made it over here.

I think the guy on the right is definitely the best of the group. His pose, face and just general detailing look very nice. It can't be seen too well in the photograph, but it looks like you did an excellent job with the arm/hand that is resting on the back of the chair(?). The twist of the upper body, the bent leg - they all look very good.

The center figure, however, has some anatomy problems - his arms look too long. And while I like the relaxed pose of the figure on the left, the detailing of jacket looks a bit too soft.

I'm wondering if using the Polyform clay might be contributing to the soft look. Do you bake it on stages? In other words - do you make the underlying skeletal form, bake that to lock it into position, and then go onto the detailing?
