I have to say that I have never understood that Peninisular War piece - is he getting shot? is he already wounded? is he a zombie? Nor do I think a drummer would have a stache and goatee. Weird piece. But that is not critique of your work Ronny - its terrific.

I'm led to believe that the Peninsular Bust was produced as a fantasy piece but interpreted by painters as a Drummer at the moment of being shot.-this seems to have remained the most popular form of expression.
