Does anyone wish he had sculpted it using traditional methods?
Does it matter whether it is traditional methods or not?

HP Models are mainly 3D printed figures - I think those of us who get the HP figures really do not complain. The likeness are stunning - the painter is now responsible for the finish.

I make a lot of garage kits - every Frankenstein Monster based on Karloff hasa nuance or difference which adds character to each model - this subject Little John - doesn't appear to be based on any of the film portrayals - so we have nothing to compare - if it were Alan Hale or Kevin Durand we would be critical - sculpting digitally has its merits - we all love Toy Story and The Incredibles and Terminator Two. This bust of Little John may not be hand sculpted and then cast but damn! It is a fine figure and none the less crafted if not by hand - we have a realistic figure that will be welcome in any collection.

Not everyone is capable of such sculpting by traditional methods - this being the case such a subject may not ever get made - how many times have I asked for Burton and Eastwood from Where Eagles Dare? - no one has done it and my talents are such that I will only be frustrated with my results...If I had access to such computer software believe me - you'd be seeing Broadsword calling Danny Boy!

I feel that 3D printing opens up a whole new avenue for us modellers and makes some otherwise ignored subjects within reach.

Just my thoughts...

He did a Robin Hood already.

Is this kit of Robin Hood still avaialable? Does anyone have one that they would be open to selling?

It's a nice looking piece alright, not too fond of the scars on the face personally but a smear of filler will cure that easily enough.

He's currently changing his websites and stores but has also just released a 75mm elf through Black Crow Miniatures if you like his fantasy stuff.

Has anyone of PlanetFigure purchased the Little John Bust or 70MM figure? If so, please comment on their quality and availability!

Paul Homer did a review o the figure and spoke very highly of it. I've seen the sculpt too and it's impressive indeed.

Also, it looks like Raul is changing his store and also has a new 70mm (traditionally sculpted) going on pre order soon.

Keep an eye out for FeR Miniatures too as they've just announced that they've acquired the rights to the old Elite Classics range which includes some Latorre sculpts.
