Hi Folks
Been a bit quiet lately due to work commitments and holiday etc. Decided to paint this one a while back and picked up the brushes again this week to carry out some more work on it.

The kit is from LB Miniatures and is 1/10th scale of Fallschirmjager 1944. I decided to paint a different camouflage pattern than the ones I had done on my previous bust so took the plunge and went for a 1943 Marsh pattern. It was fun to paint but took longer than expected, laying down the light colour first then highlights and shades, then the brown with highlights and shades and the same process on the green part of the pattern.

The helmet has been airbrushed and hairspray method used like in armour painting, the worn edges were done with a graphite pencil.

Still a long way to go, still a few accessories to finish painting and glue on and the very fragile resin ammo belt keeps staring at me on the bench but I need a long clear day to tackle this one.
All painted in Vallejo acrylics and flesh done in Reaper acrylics.

Any comments good or bad most welcome at this point, hope to post more progress soon if I get any spare time to work on it.

Cheers
Tommi

Dear Tommi.

...really I like it so much...thanks for say your painting technique on the helmet...very appreciate!

Best!

Luiz.

Though most see that pattern as straight lines,it is hard pattern to paint. You can't "represent" the pattern,it has to be right on. Yours is a job well fone

Looking good so far Tommi, but the face looks a bit red to me.

Cheers David
Hi David

Yes it does thats I what I thought when i looked at the photos, could be to do with the artifical lighting enhancing the red? I will reset the colour balance in Photoshop once I get it finished.

Cheers
Tommi
