Hi Tommi

I can see you picking up the acrylics pretty good, I can see that on the face you may need to add a little more blending between the colours, have you tried adding a little glaze medium to your mixes, you can push the paint around a little as it dry’s slower and helps keep the intensity of the colour your using, that may help with the redness as well. other than that your getting on well with the medium, good effect on the helmet.

Hi Dave
Many thanks for your constructive comments and observations. I do use the Vallejo 596 glaze medium and find it very useful in keeping the paint wet for longer and being able to push it around and blend out the edges. After your observations and looking at my own photographs I spent some time reworking some of the tramline areas between the darks and lights adding Vallejo 876 brown sand and glaze medium to the darker areas to tone things down a bit, I think it’s a vast improvement over how it was! Still a bit of a learning curve with the acrylics for me but I always try and improve on each piece. I always appreciate your feedback.

Still the ammo belt and other small parts to do yet, then onto the next one.

Cheers
Tommi
