Gotta say I like the recent examples of this very abbreviated bust style. I'm guessing it is a classical treatment, with just a small "vee" of chest supporting the head and headgear. It's an alternative to the "half-figure" versions that we have seen of late.
I'm not making a value judgement, or expressing a preference, necessarily - I just like the variety represented by these examples.

Hi Guys ,

I must admit the style of bust does have a certain appeal , although perhaps the head may over dominate , that aside both of these will make great painting pieces ,.

On both I really like the helmet details , very nice indeed ., together with good facial features ,

Looking forward to Fex reporting on these later.

That turned out really nicely. Good character face.

One thing, don't know what that is suspended from the button but at that angle it would actually be piercing his chest :)

Hi Enion ,

Looking at the piece I would say its the NCO's cane/stick they carriedas a mark of rank , although the pictures I have shw it to be hanging down from the button .
