Leopard Skin Saddle Blanket

Hey guys and gals,

I'm putting together a saddle blanket made of leopard skin from around the Napoleonic era.

My question is, what would the head of the animal look like? I have an Historex piece but I'm missing the head...I'm assuming it's the head because of the flat void on the rear of the blanket.

Any help will be appreciated.
