I have managed to fit some painting in among the sculpting so there has been some progress with the brushes. Painting in oils over the grey primer. Still loads to do, no doubt including re-visiting what I have done and messing it up! Despite many hours in the light box there is still a sheen to the paint that will be removed with matt varnish, once the appropriate prayers have been offered up to the painting gods.

Nice work Rob, nice to get a bit of painting in between sculpting, photos are nice also, are you using a light box? Reason I ask is I can never get my white background to come out white when I take photos, they always come out greyish.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve, I use a photo box that I got off eBay, the one I have has a white and a black background. I have found it very useful, it's okay for my 54s and 75s.

Hi Rob

Nice to see you painting and no doubt sculpting in the background

Looking good , I like the uniform colour ...going to be another nice addition to your show set up

Happy painting and sculpting

Stay safe

Thanks for the feedback.
Steve I recently bought a
Nanguang LED Photo Lighting Kit

Which was recommended to me, It has changeable backdrops, I don't use a light box/tent. It has made a huge difference to the quality of photos even from my mobile. However Smudgyovision is not totally eliminated.

Nice to see you painting again Rob, as you always achieve natural looking tones.

Hope to see the finished model at a show sometime this year :)

I am lucky as I have a piece painted by you in my collection :)

Regards
