Hi all,

I'd like to show you one of my last painted figure.

is.php

It's Lee Marvin in the good movie "The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallence" from 1962.

It's an Andrea figure.

It took me less than 5 paint sessions from opening the box to figure finished.

Oil paint.

Five painting sessions? Damn' that's fast °_°'! Excellent work though!
Perhaps the groundwork could have been more elaborated, but the top notch painting skills compensates (y)

Jean Paul,
very nice work! The nice simple base helps the figure stand out nicely. The wanted poster is a nice touch!

A classic figure from a classic movie. That's a very nice looking figure you have painted Jean Paul. The wanted poster definately adds to the whole scene.

Hi all,

thx for the comments.

Yes the baseground is volontary simple to focalise the eyes to the figure.
The poster was printed on andrea box. I just cut it, thined it removing only the printed part.

My oil technik is simple :
undercoat with an airbrush with a humbrol sand or kaki color.

That way may oil paint dries very quickly.
I paint with very diluated paint.

Maurizio : I'll post some other paint work soon.

Luca my friend : I wish I could be Speedy, I would have finished Dante bust earlier lol !!!!

I prefer figures on simple bases - it helps to focus the attention. Having said that this one is well worth looking at , great paintwork, good choice of sympathetic colours - overall an excellent piece.
