LH's scarf was obviously a 'cowboy's rag', most of them were bright-coloured silk (deep purple was one of the favourites. Those guys were not samurai . ).

The Cowboy Gear book is an invaluable tool for ANY painter and sculptor. A treasure of weathered leather, rusty steel and rugged faces. Inspiring, to say the least.

Jim,

The scarf colour is spot-on (there's one like this in the Cowboy Gear book).

Looks 100% better with the colour change. Some time it amounts to a small detail to turn a good piece into a GREAT one.
