Hi Everyone,

I was at Michigan Toy Soldier Co. yesterday (very cool store) and in their display case they had a large scale (120mm?) figure of a German World War 1 officer. I didn't realzie I wanted it so bad until after I left the store.

He is simply standing straight holding a cigarette in the very non chalant way that Europeans have of holding a cigarette. He is wearing a long great coat and a pickelhaube without a cover.

If you know the manufacturer, please let me know as I'd love to paint this piece. Thanks in advance

That one is very nice, I agree, but there are some alternatives in 90 - 110mm sizes. I bought the Verlinden 120mm figure of the crouching-running officer and am currently painting it. The detail is excellent and the casting was very good.

Also check out Tradition of London on their web page and Jurgen Siegel on the Berlinner Zinnfiguren web page. Apparently nobody in the US retails the Siegel figures, alas, but Tradition of London is sold by a number of online retailers, including Troops of Time in Florida. Finding any of those pages with a Google search should be comparatively easy.

All the best,
Dan
