Not related to the hobby, but in Amsterdam, the Heineken brewery tour was always fun. When I lived in Munich, we made a road trip up any time someone had a birthday. The brewery used to give you a Delft Heineken mug, if it was your birthday. I'm not a fan of the beer, otherwise, but it was very good right there at the brewery.

As a Dutchman I can't imagine why someone would want to visit Amsterdam in the first place. Horrible, chaotic place. You are always at risk of breaking you neck over the hordes of tourists

Visit a smaller provincial town like Utrecht instead. Just a 30 minutes railway journey from Amsterdam. Lovely place with a historic centre.
