Need a source for wooden bases. My immediate need is for a pedestal style base of approx 70 mm diameter.

Jason is correct. Steve makes makes most of the bases I use and they are very nice and affordable.

I've bought quite a few bases from John Jefferies. He's in the NY area but will ship them. He sells them at a number of shows on the east coast (MFCA, LIHMCS, NCMSS, and perhaps others). You can probably contact him through the Long Island miniature group or PM me and I'll send you his contact info. I know I have his card somewhere at home.
