Hi Guys,

Verbal update with some ref pictures, spent yesterday doing the knife, pistol, bino's and grenade , pleased with result , will try and remember a picture son!

Still to do : the hair, hands with grenade , weapon, waterbottle , bergan straps , rank and insignia badges, base up !...getting there!

Here's the pic references for the knife ( many variations of course some with wooden handles , different sheaths etc , the grenade green band denotes the explosive type .

Hope these are of some help

This is looking very nice indeed Kevin and an inspiration. Hope all is well and "Life" doesn't get in the way too much of your Modeling.

Hope it's nothing that a whiff of resin & thinners won't cure.

Take care.

Peter.

Cheers Peter

Appreciate your comments wish the pics were better and showed the real colour variations on the uniform and webbing colours ...many!

As for resin and thinners ....I prefer it with a slice of lemon !

Off to the brushes

Thanks for looking in

Kev,
I know whats it like to lose the mojo, I hadn't picked up a brush, for about ten years till, Jan this year.
Keep bashing a way at the busts.
This one is superb, nice detail on the BD. All the other bits are coming together really well. Keep it coming
(I've just stuck my finger in the blue oil paint, @*^%@$!!!)

Regards

That's really coming together nicely Kevin.
The texturing on the equipment is very effective.

Wowzer.......

Mate there's so much that's excellent here !

What stands out for me is always the details that can be taken for granted.

The rank insignia, the woolen seaman's jumper and the bergen are so spot on it's ultra realism.

Well done mate, than heavans month and jo turned up.

Looking forward to the last strech now.

Let us know how the wet paletting goes mate,

enjoy your show on agincourt day.

Paul
