Louis II Duke of Flanders

This is my interpretation of the Crecy Models kit of Louis de Burbon painted in the heraldry of Louis II Duke of Flanders
I used Tommi's stencils for the heraldry,very useful for keeping the lions all the same size.

I really enjoyed making this figure, the crecy models kit is not an easy one to build but looks good when finished I would certainly recommend it, also their kits are a fair bit cheaper than pegaso.
I saw a banner showing the heraldry on a recent trip to Bruges and decided it would look good on this figure but I don't think I woud have attempted 7 lions without the stencil

a beautifully painted figure, on some excellent groundwork !!
I presume you wanted to represent Louis, Count of Flanders, who was one of the leading French knights at the battle of Crécy in 1346 (he was killed there btw). It's quite possible you saw his heraldry on a banner during a trip to Bruges - his beautiful coat of arms is still the flag of Flanders today !

Johan the figure depicted on the box art of the Crecy Models kit is that of Louis De Bourbon at Agincourt some 69years later than the battle of Crecy and the figure is weaing armour of a later style than that worn at Crecy
Unfotunately there was no Duke of Flanders at Agincourt Itherefore decided to paint the figure as the Louis the second of Flanders [the son of the one killed at Crecy] who himself was killed at St Omer in 1384

Your remarks are most relevant. Louis I is known as Louis de Nevers (Pegaso fans know him). The first 'Agincourt style' armours were made in the late 1380s; hence your figure is historically accurate.
