Chers Kev
I was hoping to be able to show you a new bust at the show but things might be a bit tight.
See you there.

Found a photo via Googlemaps. Seems "the bridge" itself is actually named after this soldier ... amazing.

Hi Gordon,
Good luck with this, I read John Frost's memoirs "A Drop Too Many" sometime in the recent past, an absolutely fascinating read and this model epitomises a great soldier. A lot more to this brave soldier, but will untimately be remembered for Arnhem.
cheers

Thanks for this Richie. I'm just reading The Devils Birthday about Market Garden by Geoffrey Powell a junior officer at Arnhem. I will get a copy of the one you mention also. I knew a few veterans who were in the Border Regiment at Arnhem as part of the Airlanding Brigade. Great blokes who are sadly fewer and fewer every year.
Great photos comparing Anthony Hopkins and John Frost, a good lookalike and fantastic actor.
Cheers

Hi Gordon,
Another one which I could not put down was "Green Beach", it's about the Bruneval Raid again Major Johnnie Frost was in this. "A Drop Too Many" is certainly worth having. Don't buy a 1980 first edition because he revised and expanded on his career in the second edition in 1982.
cheers

That's a new one on me Richie * scribbles it on the Kindle list* I did read "A Drop Too Many" a while back but not sure which version it was
