Hello guys! This is my latest historic release.
Lt. Geoffrey H. Malins was a British, voluntary, war photographer during The Great War. He was responsible for most of the films made by UK during the war. Plenty of references online too.
Shown here with the classic trench coat and his camera, the bust was masterfully sculpted in 1/9th scale by Carl Reid and exceptionally painted by Milan Dufek.
Any doubt or information, contact me through PM.

Cheers,
Felipe - HQ Model Kits.

Is it just me or does his face look a little lopsided? The eyes don’t appear to be aligned properly or perhaps the photo doesn’t show the face properly. The tilt of the helmet seems to accentuate the asymmetric face. I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Hi, Tony. Thank you for your feedback.
I think what's putting you off is his "half smile". Yes, I agree the helmet accentuates the feeling of asymetry. But than again, we're not supposed to be symetrical. Maybe Carl might be able to correct us.

Once again, thank you for your comment.

Hi Felipe

Nice piece and it's good to see this subject as well , without his and others bravery and skill at filming often alongside attacking troops ..we would have nothing to remember

I see where Tony is coming from ref face but agree it's the tilt of the helmet making it seem so

A cracking Carl Reid sculpt and nice artwork as well

Thanks for sharing

Stunning work.
As far as the symetrie goes; In those days when I was a little photographer in my freetime, we used the asymetrie of the face to create something unusual.
You photografed a face in front, made 2 pictures from it into the DOKA. Cut the two in halfs, and glued two left en two right halfs together. Then you see that everybody's face is not symetrical.
See these pictures to give you the idea. https://www.quora.com/Why-do-you-think-every-human-doesnt-have-birth-defects

If Carl is sculpting symetric I think the faces where not so expressive.

Milan is superb painter, but the blue eyes don’t look right ..vs images of the actual guy...who does look bit lopsided, but the opposite side..dark eyes, some shadow under left eye socket...and bet it’s fine..pretty interesting indidual...and books out there...”how I filmed the war” ...
