WIP Critique Magister Militum - Pegaso 75mm

Hi all,

About halfway done with this figure so far, just thought i'd post up some photos of my work, I'm not as active on this site as I should be, this is only my 3rd figure I've started, although it will the first finished (I have Andrea's 90mm roman legionary about 80% done on the bench).

Any and all comments or criticism is welcome, if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks guys for your responses, I'm pleased with how this one is turning out, also my first attempt at using oils for the skin (face is in acrylics though).

Having trouble deciding how to paint the baldric, I read somewhere that they could be painted leather? or is this unrealistic? And if so what colours, as this figure is supposed to be a high ranking officer I'm sure he'd have something a little flamboyant.

I think I'm going to order some of Tommi's roman shield masks for the Chi-Rho on the shield. Hopefully that should make that job a little easier.

Keep on rolling. Looking good so far. Great idea on ordering Tommi's masks..I've been meaning to do the same. As for the baldric, I think painted leather would be accurate enough...color suggestions could be red, blue or white painted leather..hope this helps. Again, I could be way off but a little artistic liscense can be taken into account.
