It won't surprise you I had a ' long' night again...
Did some work on the jaw, pronouncing the chin, doing some smoothening when rounded the shapes.
I did a little job on the eyesection and it's area.
I'll show it when I get back from work

for the moment I want to have a little space for some hair, this may look like a conehead.
Together with my 'Zappa' it's my second attempt to sculpt a head.
I was eager to sculpt 1/16 but it turned out a bit larger.
I underestimated the skull I used for base and pinpointed his eyes directly in a position I can't change.
Ofcourse some contextual matters will enhance some things, like a cap, some bodylanguage.
Tonight I sudied a lot ( really a lot) of photos of Ed and I became a bit unsure.
Maybe the eyes themselves need some altering. You meant the shape of the eyesockets, Taesung or perhaps the eyes too?
On the other hand, at this stadium I already can imagine major Konig in some nice positions.

some ideas that may help:

-the brain case needs to be bigger, and more round, both on sides as well as front(forehead) its very flatened right now

-the cheeks need to be less profound, he has soft cheeks and a large jaw

- he has a very small brow which quickly transitions into the side of the skull

-his eyes do not loop down from the top close to the nose, the loop up from the bottom, this elongates the angle on the top and moves the "rounded" portion of the eye further away from the nose- VERY IMPORTANT!

eyes are crucial to getting a face right

Lee Majors also has a nice characterhead but it was meant as credit for Alex.
There are still some flaws but better to be seen now.
I think a Gebirgsjagercap and the K98 will add some context to Ed not to mention some ears and paint.
Because I like military subjects chances are likely I will give Damien Lewis, tom Hanks and consorts a try next time.

Top of the skull needs more clay and on the sides, reduce the chin also.
