The gold laces at initial stages... very time consuming.

Various mixtures including gold print ink, burnt umber, chrome yellow, Naples yellow, titanium white.

I generally use Citadel skull white spray primer, then do a first approach of final tonalities in acrylic, especially for large portions, like the trousers. For the face, I paint with oils directly on the white primer coat.

This figure is much more difficult than it looks at first glance.

C'est manifique. I love your work and the epoch which is my favorite. How did you get the oil paint on thr trousers to 'flatten out'? I love Bruno's work which I think is generally as good as there is.
