Hi Guys, I have been working on this 75mm orignal figure of a Maori Scout. I have sculpted him from Duro and Aves epoxy putty and painted him in Vallejo and Andrea acrylic paints and gold and silver printers inks. I have represented the Maori Scout here wearing European clothing and military equipment of the time.He is carrying a double barreled percussion cap shotgun over his shoulder. The Maori Scout would of been working with British Colonial Troops of the time. I have painted a traditional Maori Moko (tattoo) on his face. Hope you like how he has turned out.

Regards,John

Hi John, saw this on Facebook recently, great work my friend,I love the jacket colour, it seems very well suited for the piece, also great work on the facial tattoo, extremely well done and the groundwork is great,a really well executed piece :)

Hi John

Another lovely unique piece from your gifted hands.
For me particularly like the signature small details such as pattern of waistcoat, patch & hole on jacket elbow plus natural stance.

Would also like some larger upper body photos so we can savour your art :-$

I look forward to one day studying this in the flesh.

Talk soon,

Mike
