Absolutely perfect Rog.Petrolukas is a living legend of Greek traditional music and all your choices are right on the mark. Are you sure you're not a tiny bit of a Greek?Remotely even? You're certainly up for that citizenship I mentioned earlier.(y)

Oda.

They maybe put something in the food in the Greek Islands so when you go home you're a tiny bit Greek. :D

Not far to go now. Touch up's and refining some of the details should see it finished.

Very nice painting Roger, especially on the reds and whites which are difficult to paint in 54mm without looking monotone. (y)
Detailed work on the shoes too!
One comment only, the hair color should normally be black as it is in 99% of Greek men.

YS Masterpieces is an excellent choice if you want to paint some big scale busts of the Greek independence war heroes.

Thank you Trex. As far as I am aware Botsaris was in the 1% of Greek men that had fair hair!
Big scale busts? Hmm not quite. ;) You should be able to work it out now. :D

The person who designed the miniature(designer but not sculptor),told me that he has actually contacted the descendants of the Botzaris family who assured him that there has always been a blond streak in the family and they were absolutely sure that Markos and his brother Kostas,a later general in the regular army of the kingdom of Greece under the Vitelsbach dynasty, were actually fairhaired,a fact that has eluded many artists through the years. So,Roger, you get 12 points for historical research and accuracy.
