Thanks Guy - I expect the strike to be a long one but I will be OK from a $ perspective. I'm treating it like a test retirement while I'm still young enough to enjoy it! Attitude is everything. But I do worry aabout some of my coworkers who may not be as lucky as I.

Cheers

Colin

Colin,

WOW! I just so amazed at all the talent on this forum. The figure is wonderful and so beautiful and clean painting.

bonjour Colin,

votre technique pour les ors est super ! j'adore mais pourriez-vous me donnez la marque des couleurs "mars orange" et "cadmium yellow" et utiliser vous
un liant ou un vernis pour diluer ? je vous remercie d'avance

a bientot j'éspère ? erik :)

Bonjour Erik. Please excuse me answering you in English as my French is not good (I am ashamed of this as we Canadians expect better of ourselves!)

I think you are asking what specific colour numbers Mars Yellow and Cadmium Yellow are; and whether or not I use a medium while painting? I hope I have your question right.

I used Gamblin Mars Orange (no number provided) and Windsor & Newton Cad. Yellow (#108). For media I generally use Grumbacher oil painting medium # 1.

I hope that answers your question

Regards

Colin

You've done a fantastic job Colin.........love your flesh tone, all that intricate braiding and the coat as well

Keep it up!!

Ray ;)

Hi Justin .....I will but not just yet. The next 1/6 Napoleonic will likely be a hussar personality figure - perhaps Junot or Lasalle. But I have a modern bust to sculpt first. I am just waiting to spring loose some time and catch the motivation wave.

Cheers
