It will be a commercial product ? I would like to have the possibility to paint it in the future.

Hi Ernst,
Fine figure, the likeness of Bernadotte seems well done and the embroideries too. I don't say anything of the sculpture, as usual, only two little historical remarks, if you would accept my suggestions. The first is for the sash, I don't see the classic knot. The second one are the belts of the sword. With this coat, IMO, they were not so visible, because the main belt was under the coat. You have to show only the ending part with the buckles, coming out from the left turnback side.
However, congratulations, is a fine job.

Marcello, you are right in general, but one does not contradict another. I've made it after this portrait. Here absence of knot is visible and position of the sabre speaks that the belt is above uniform.

Hi Ernst,
For my knowledge the sash of all Marshalls generally ended with the classical knot I put above. Probably in this portrait the knot is hidden by the red ribbon of Graind Aigle of Legion d'Honneur, or Bernadotte has used a different type of knot, not strictly ruled. About the sabre, no belts are visibles here. Instead I think the sabre is suspended exactly as I said. The main belt is underneath the golden sash just under the bottom edge of the jacket. Normally, only with an overcoat was used a larger belt above the dress, covered by the golden sash. However, we both can remain on own opinion, and we both are satisfied, isn't true?

Oh yes, if it will be a commercial piece from a firm traded in Italy, I think to buy Jean Baptiste Jules Bernadotte, altough he was not too much pleasant to me. Brother in law with Joseph Napoleon, the brother of the Emperor, made general, Marshall by Napoleon and Prince of Pontecorvo, he had always a great rivalty with him and was jealous of his power. Owing to this opposition, when he became King of Sweden, he betrayed Napoleon and the France, declaring war against his Country during the campaign of 1813. Nowadays the Royal family of Sweden is still descendant from Bernadotte.
Even I shall not put my money on myself 
, I have shown the portrait just to explain why I have made it that way. The figure will be manufactured here in Latvia but if it is interesting to somebody, I can bring pair of castings to Kulmbach, if it will be ready till August.

Not really the period I usually dwell in it and I have to admit that Im not that informed of Bernadotte even as he later became King of Sweden. With his heir still in reign.
But to me he looks spot on.
