A marvellous release by a MB is matched by a very exact and well defined painting.Great work.

Hello friends,
thank you for your nice words and constructive comments.
Hi Dan,
nice pictures.
Hi Colin,
the heads with the brodie helmets are from Hornet. (Look at the picture).
You are right, the MB helmets are not so good. Better ones are from ICM and Tamiya.
Hi Mat,
Changing the heads is the only conversion I did.
To put them together needs some time, especially the two German who carry the Tommy.

Many greetings,
Günther

Thanks for the pix Guenther. Hornet do great faces but I think those brodies are too deep and narrow brimmed. Maybe its the angle though. In any case you have done a wonderful job on your Somme vignette. Love it!

A great job Gunther , I have to agree with you that the two figures carrying the Tommy are not easily put together Quote Gunther "To put them together needs some time, especially the two German who carry the Tommy." I am 4/5th of the way to completing my set which I had planned for a diorama with a Tank but since then I have acquired the Master Box Trench set so they might go into this !!! what ever happens if they look half as good as yours I will be happy , if they look as good as yours I will be over the moon (y) .

Great work on the MB figures Gunther.
The Hornet heads are very good but the headgear perhaps not so.As already said the brodie helmets look too deep with a very narrow rim and I think the feldmutzen could be flatter and more crumpled. Ultracast do some excellent heads but I don't know whether they do WWI (I prefer them to Hornet).

Nice work Günther (y)

I've never had a go at the MB figures but I recently acquired the trench set and I am very impressed. I wasn't expecting much from a styrene set but I was pleasantly surprised at the crispness of the mouldings and I'm looking forward to getting it on the bench :)
