Thanks Nap! I'll get round to it soon I have had to stop buying for a bit as the aircraft stash really needs getting through so I may be slow with busts.
He's done and mounted on a nice olivewood base from Oakwood studios. Unless anyone can see nay glaring errors ! Added a family photo of all my busts so far as well

Hi James

Great result very nicely done and what a family grouping as well

Why not put a separate thread for the completed piece

Stash ....surely not !! ...enjoy whatever you build

Nap

Very nice James, you have done a cracking job on him. As Kev says, great family group shot.

I have a shed full of plastic armour, a few aircraft and trucks. Come the spring clean, I am going to get rid. Most are really old kits which by now may have broken or missing bits. I think I can safely say that my tank building days are past. Might keep a couple of the truck kits but when I re do my modelling room, I am looking at not having an airbrush station so I don’t know how I will paint them. Really looking forward to having a clean, calm and tidy (yeah right) work area dedicated to the brushes.

Thanks Nap and Graham !
Nap, start a completed one in the completed section? I will take some better photos and get on that.
I have an Israeli spitfire half done that needs finishing at the mo, got distracted with the last two busts ... Whoops .
How come your getting rid of the airbrush set up Graham? And a spring clean is always avoided when it comes to the (fairly new) stash

Airbrushes are the bain of my life...... I have a H&S Infinity which is a good brush but I always get splattering no mater what I do. Unless I use a Tamiya paint that is.... that works fine. However, the main reason is that apart from priming, I don’t use it on figures unless I drop a bit of flesh into it to basecoat the face.

My modelling space is ‘compact’ to say the least and the extractor spray booth in the corner is a bulky, messy dark space that I want rid off. My work space is very much based on a council tip only less tidy and I dream of a minimalist warm magnolia space where I can suck my brushes in a classical music filled space more like an Ikea studio than the dark health hazard tip I work in now.

As I don’t intend to do much, if any, ‘proper modelling’ in the future I need the space and calmness more than I need an airbrush. What I will probably do is set it up in the shed so I can still use it for priming etc.
