A while ago - in an effort to exert some form of control over the
backlog of figures awaiting my attention - I made some firm rules
for myself. I would buy nothing below 1/25th scale, single pieces
only (or at a stretch limited vignettes, absolutely no multi-figure
groups), just exemplary figures of the highest order of detail and
originality. These rules have kept me safe....until now that is when
two figures have appeared in as many days.

We're away for a few days but directly we get back, Hugo, I'll be
in touch

Mike

PS seriously impressed by your female partisan figure too,,,.it's
a terrific piece

Hello Mr. Mike

Thank you so much for your comment. I have to confess you feel me very happy because of me you broke your "promise"... LOL... Now serious... This message its a light to Rpmodels and for all the team... It's a signal that we are working hard but we are in a good path, where people recognize our work and like it. In this moment we are with many projects in hands... I believe what we are bring to the life its just amazing and can give our imagination to other level...

Thank you so much for believe in RPmodels and in me.

With best regards
Hugo Pereira

As always RP have executed brilliantly and beautifully. These new figures are amazing and congratulations to the team.

One comment that I have (not a criticism!) is that the texture of the armour, especially the bascinet, looks quite rough. I'm definitely not an expert, but I have seen and handled 14th examples close up and they are smoother than on this example even after 6 centuries. Many examples (and I think that there are less than 40 14th century examples remaining) will have rough areas now for sure but I thought that for a knight at the time the armour would have had a smooth, highly-polished surface (as much as a hand-beaten, non-heat treated surface can achieve) given the relative cost of a full armour panoply and the demands of status and prestige among nobles to demonstrate their wealth. Note: my assumptions may be wrong and I welcome any input from any of the medieval experts on this forum. It's always good to learn from those who know.

Hello Mr. Gerry

Thank you so much for your comment... Im not a spcialist in Medieval... But in RPmodels we study a lot the characters before advance...Its the first part of the work... About the armour texture, he copy from a Lisboa Military Museum... There are a few chain mail armour where you can get it... Nevertheless and just add. point... This is some knowledge of Military Academy, Military History discipline... Sometimes and because of the very high price of armor, the armour passed along the family. Sometimes the conditions aren't the best and sometimes don't fix 100%, because different people different anatomy... Anyway, I would like to say thank you for your comment. Its this, that allow us be better and try to grow up...

Thank you so much for believe in RPmodels and in me... I hope we can see soon our knight painted by you...

With best regards

A 75mm version turned up here a couple of weeks ago, but I've had to wait
patiently for a birthday ''surprise', so I've only just got my hands on it. What
a gem ! If anyone's wavering out there wondering whether to buy it, then
waver no more. You'll not be disappointed..........
