sometimes at its most dangerous on a saturday morning around 9 Am when the residue of scum are still floating about from the night before.
Mind you Napoli can be just as intimidating

For self-defence....
While Glasgow is a wonderful place, 99.9% of the time it's Party Town, there are occasions when it can resemble Dodge City, especially around 23:00 on a Saturday night.
Or even 07:00 on a Sunday morning.
I speak from personal experience....
:blackeye:....:p
You should be ok ,your wife has passed on the secrets of Wudang:D

Glasgows a great city with leading research led universities, one of Europes major public reference libraries, fantastic shopping, a brilliant and active theatrical heritage, former European City of Culture, Most of Scotland's national arts organisations are based in Glasgow, including Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, The National Theatre of Scotland, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and The BBC SYmphony Orchestra and Glasgow's about to host the Commonwealth Games.
Brilliant music scene with too many genuinely good bands to mention but to list a current band, Glasvegas.
Superb Victorian architecture and many examples of leading contemporary buildings. An unrivaled industrial heritage........I could go on for ever......but the most important thing about Glasgow is......it's not Edinburgh .....(y)
